Christ died on the cross for all of our sins. His blood was poured our for us that we might not have to live with the condemnation of sin. Jesus took all of these steps toward us to reconcile Himself to us, and all that we are expected to do is to say, "Yes Lord, forgive me, I claim the power of Your blood over my life that washes away my sins!"
Confession of sin advances Christ in our hearts. How does it declare the riches of Christ - when we are not afraid to tell Him what infinite sums of debt we are in- which He alone can discharge -easily! How it does commend the healing virtue of His blood -when we open to Him such mortal wounds and sicknesses which He alone can easily cure! Woe to those who commit sin aboundingly, that grace may abound 0 but it is our duty to confess sin aboundingly, that grace may abound.
Accept the free gift of grace that is available for everyone who chooses to receive it. Grace is the power of God given to us at no cost because of His great love for us, the grace of forgiveness being one of the greatest gifts to us. Choose to walk in the grace of God every day.
