God with Us

God became Emmanuel (that is Jesus Christ), which means God with Is. The God of the Universe, the Almighty, the I AM, humbled Himself even to the point of only becoming man, but dying as a man. God literally walked on the earth.

God did this because He chose to be with us. God chose us (as opposed to angles, ants or aliens), which is incredible in itself. He allowed humanity to walk with Him. Furthermore, God chose to be with us. God could easily have decided to be opposed to us or distant from us. But we serve a God who loves us so much that He desires to be with us and amongst us at all times.

Because God has actively chosen to be with us, there is nothing that can separate us from Him. God is with us when we wake up, when we go to bed and while we are sleeping. He is with us in every ordinary or extraordinary circumstance. Christ is with us in our trouble and weakness, and more importantly, as Octavius Winslow states, "[You have] no burden which His arm of power cannot bear, no perplexity which His wisdom cannot guide. In  a word, you have no condition to which Christ, our ever present God, is not equal."

We don't have to make sacrifices before talking with God. We don't have to perform rituals to try to be pure, perfect, and blameless before coming to Him. Because God is with us, we have immediate access to Him, regardless of pain, anxiety, or sin.
