This is a sotry about a woman named Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. She did not receive a college education, or marry a wonderful man and have a beautiful family, nor was she rich. On hte contrary, her life was far from these things. She devoted her entire life visiting every nook and cranny of Calcutta to serve starving, sickly, dying people. When asked what her mission was, her answer was never about social work or philanthropy. She would answer, "My mission is to be owned by Jesus." No matter how good or passionate she was towards charity work, she did not take the credit. "If I can be owned by Jesus through these things, nothing would make me happier." Now, she is known better as 'Mother Theresa,' who established charity organization and received the Nobel Peace Prize.
It is from this life we see a woman who chose to cherish Christ above anything or anyone else. The Bible tells us to draw near to God, so that He would draw near to us. In her life of seeking God, God was always present with her.
