Dilemma of Naturally Pretty Girls
1)Pretty girls know guys like them just because of their pretty faces.
2)Pretty girls are suffering because all the guys only know how to sweet talk them thinking they will fallinto their stupid trap.
3)Deep down inside their hearts, Pretty girls know their pretty faces won't last long and their faces will turn ugly as age catch up. They subconsciously worry " will the guys still like me When I grow old one day?"
4)Pretty girls are concerned about how come no one ever look deep beyond their pretty faces. What is unigue about her?
5)Pretty girls want someone who don't carry her balls or sweet talk her, but to treat her like a normal human and treat her like a good friend, without ill intention, which unknowingly make her fall in love.
13 Characteristics of likable people
2. Eye contact - Maintaining eye contact when you talk tosomeone draws them deep into conversation with you - the rest ofthe world slows down, and you both become quite important to eachother. It shows a calm confidence in what they are saying and itmakes them even more engaging, almost hypnotic. A quick tip: Righteye to right eye. Look from your right eye to the right eye of theperson you're talking to. This strikes a great balance between goodeye contact and not staring.
3. Touch - You'll consistently see magnetic people reach out andtouch others. Touching shows emotion and affection and brings youcloser to other people. Humans crave physical contact with others, and more emotion and affection can be expressed through touch thanany number of words ever could. Next time someone does or sayssomething you really like, give them a high five, some "pound", aplayful punch on the arm or a big hug.
4. Not talking about yourself - Likable people typically aremore curious to get to know other people and don't talk aboutthemselves as much. Likable people are always looking to find outmore about the other person, what they are doing, and whatinterests them the most. Most people don't feel heard - likablepeople know this, and encourage others to talk about what theyreally enjoy.
5. Not talking too much - Closely related to the above point.Likable people and high status people do not talk too much. Insteadthey encourage others to talk and to open up. People love to talkabout their experiences and cool things they've done - when youbecome more curious and encourage them to speak more, they'llactually like you more. If you catch yourself rambling for a while,an easy way to adjust is to say, "But that's enough about me - whatabout you?"
6. Empathy - Making people feel understood, and striving totruly understand them is powerful. Everyone wants to be understood.People want to know that they are not alone in the world. If youcan reach out to understand another person, you'll instantly form agreat connection with them. Next time someone tells you somethingheavy that you could have a long discussion on, instead try sayingjust "I understand." You'll be amazed at how uplifting it can makeother people feel.
7. Not trying to impress - Somewhat accomplished people wanteveryone to know about the accomplishments they've made. Reallyamazing people are much more humble and low key about what they'vedone. The most impressive people never actively try to impresspeople. The result is that a man trying to impress communicatesthat he's not impressive.
8. Showing praise and appreciation - Whenever you see anythingyou like in another person, let them know. If people aren't used toyou opening up, praising, and appreciating constantly, you mightget a funny reaction at first. Once you've established that you'reconstantly on the lookout for great things in others, people getused to feeling empowered around you. When you do mention somethingyou really like, keep it casual. No big deal, no long talk. Just,"Hey, I really appreciate that you did that." "I thought that wasreally cool how you did that."
9. Never criticizing, ever, for any reason - Likable peoplenever criticize others. People universally hate criticism, and hatepeople that criticize them. Likable people always start off withgenuine praise and appreciation before trying to give constructivefeedback, and will only give this feedback rarely (because likablepeople understand that praise is a much better way to help peoplechange than even constructive feedback, and criticizing is almostalways useless).
10. Not trying to fix other peoples' problems - When someonetells you they have a problem, but doesn't explicitly ask for yourhelp, that means they do not want you to tell them how to solve it.They want to feel understood, cared about, and empowered. Over 90%of the time, people know the solutions to their own problems. Ifsomeone brings a minor problem to you, try listening, nodding, letting them know you understand, and you're with them. Tell themyou believe in them and you think they'll sort it out. If they askwhat you'd do, maybe make a quick suggestion but don't drive thepoint really hard. As crazy as it sounds, most people do not tellothers about their problems in order to get solutions; they wantunderstanding, empathy, and reassurance. People are very strong andquite good at solving their own problems when believed in.
11. Eliminate negativity - Never mentioning anything you don'tlike. Especially never being down on culture-wide things outside ofyour direct control: So, not complaining about the government, popculture, fashions you think are silly, activist groups you disagreewith, and so on. Being positive is really good. Not talking aboutthings you dislike is even more important.
12. Never complain - When people complain, others feel slightlyless inclined to be around them. It brings people down. If youdon't like something, you have two choices: Take action to fix it,or accept that it's there. When you realize that, there's no reasonto complain.
13. Never impose weakness on others - Everyone feels down fromtime to time. The most charismatic people never "impose" that downfeeling on others; instead, they're a fort of strength for peoplearound them. The more you stay composed, and refrain from showingbeing phased or flustered, the more you gain control over yourlife. People start to respect you more, and they feel they can relyon you.

Experience in HK Lab
Here I go.
Monday, first time without remember what time I should be there. I arrived earlier, with my broken Cantonese. The first person I came in contact is with this counter staff. Seems a little puzzled why this me is here....later, then remember why I am here.
As it was a Monday, and so most of the time I spent reading SOP, eating lunch, and observing how the lab procedure....and also the microB stuff. First day lunch was Hainan Chicken rice....it is very yellow skin. big piece, sweet chilli without garlic, ginger with spring onion. It started off to be a refresher course for me, especially those MicroB stuff...though most of the things I can't really remember, those terms and species names just always ring a bell to me.
The next 2 days will be more SOP, and also a brief hands-on with the machine. The things touched on are VDRL, CBC. Also more observation of the MicroB stuff. Well there is more development in the communication with the rest of the staff. Observing all the little actions, Facebooking, Restaurant City, Pets Society. TVB, Angel Cooks. Food wise - I tried the Chicken Feet Pork Ribs rice, also another spicy beef HK noodles. Yum yum. With all these nice food, there is also the nice people. The people there are nice people especially the Assistant Lab Mgr and the safety officer. Both, guess because of their oversea exposure that make who they are now. From they, though they were speaking in Cantonese, I managed to learned much despite my 70-80% pickup rate of the language. All of that is taught are just part of the memory of what I have learnt during my Uni time.
Soon it was Thursday, their weekly Marketing Meeting. It is a little hiccup as I was talking to Tiffany and Henry as Mike and Tommy went off before me. Haha. Took Tiffany to brought me downstairs before Mike was downstairs to bring me to the place. It is a Shanghai restaurant. Woah it was a classy place and as well, a crowded timing too. There is quite a bit of delay but the food is really nice. Xiao Long Bao, Ko Meat with Man Tung. There is also the Onion bread I think. All the yummy good stuff. As I hear their meeting, I could barely catch up with the conservation, though I managed to catch some of the points. As I felt that I was there during the orientation, all I know there is some to do with the form and the other my guess is with the marketing. Also I felt that I was there to oriented first, thus I paid not much attention to the affair. Thus I was busy eating while they were all talking and discussing about all the possibilities way to improve and increase efficiency. Also the other was about parallel running that is with regards to ISO and thing. The difference between machine precision and human confidence, comparing in with process too.
Then comes Friday, the last day of the orientation. Thought I feel that the week pass quite fast, with most of the time after the lab, I went and walk around either at Olympic or IFC. Then after that will be the usual back to hotel room to rest and tap on other people's Internet. Friday would be one more memorable one. Morning is really fast and quick. There is more hands on, which there is more practical like helping to insert the control for the CBC and the other similar parallel machine. Also, in the late afternoon, got a little scary surprise. Seems like an order of sort, as I was chatting, or chatted before about eating the local food, Tiffany "signalled" in a directive way to follow her. I was, as before blur not sure what is going on with the language mis-proficiency, was taken by surprise. Made thing worse, she asked me to take off my clothes. Yup that is it....what is going on.......HaHA...finally after a moment, as I was still wearing my labcoat, the instructions was later then followed by following to buy some side dish nearby. Drank 5 flavour tea?, bought Beef internal, also ate a stick of fried big intestine, then went to buy some drinks back. Also I tried the fried fish skin. Yum yum all the things. Well, it was quite a enjoyable time. Then after that, I went got a brief outlook of how the marketing strategy and marketing stuff of the lab. Though it was a short 1 hour, most of the thing just sounds so familiar. However with the lack of market knowledge, I find it hard to say much but only listen. Well I guess I would have to do more research if I would be of an asset. Though my mind is fresh and new, there are ideas are yet to be tested and after hearing all the areas of influence, COI, I felt it also is becoming more of a referral business too. That is the end of a week of 5 days of orientation. There is also another surprise. Tommy asked me after the marketing briefing. He briefed me about the regulations for HK Medical Technologist Board. With the regulations and the unclear knowing of how the board will handle foreign talent. After briefing me about career path, I was given an envelope. It was a total HKD 1500 for my week at the lab. It came as a surprise to me as I was expecting no return for the orientation there. It was more of an eye opener rather that working. Not knowing should I reject and also how to, I accepted the envelope. Well, it was indeed a week of eye-opening, affirming experience at the lab. Also the meeting of new friendly people at the lab was refreshing. I wish that the time there, and also the new found acquaintances will last. Now comes the weekend
Saturday is going to Shenzhen. Going past the immigration point alone is a very different experience. Well, travelling in this region is so different from Singapore. The time period and allowance given will need more buffer due to the unpredictability of traffic. I was aiming to be on time. However, my dad was early despite the predicted estimated time of arrival. Well it allows me to learn that being early is good, and also in the past how I always strife to give plenty of buffer time and being early while waiting for others.
A weekend, going around Shenzhen, looking at all the shopping complex. They are quite modern and full of branded stuff. Well there is still the nice food and delicious cusines there to eat. What beats a nice dessert. We stayed in Motel Chain 268, at Futian area. Before that, we went to Guo Mao where the luxurious shopping centre are. There met up with another family, another friend of my dad and from them, how there can a 2 child as opposes to the 1 child policy in China.
Futian, where we stayed for the weekend. Met up with another supplier and possible a job referral for my dad's friend. It is a bridging time first. A tour of the area and a briefing how some of the dark places. There are quite a lot of spa around the area. Also met up with some of other friends and had Wang Lao Ji drink together with nice grills. Oysters, Clams, Chicken skin, jap cucumber and others. Yum yum for a great supper. I was also entertained by stories by one whom stayed there and had really special experience with the people there. There are indeed the places of light and dark. Even at the common eating place in a secular place, there are also "paid" company for food....free food for a fee. Interesting way of getting $$$. Well I wasn't really that intrigue by going those places. Guess I had enough and with a week to go, I thought I should mellow down alittle.
Sunday, a walk down Hua Xiong Street to experience the vastness of varities of cheap Electronic stuff. There are really alot of cheap stuff around, also with the street side stall also taking in different type of techs. Empy Catridges. That is a place where I can dispose of all the catridges that I used. The other place I went was Lao Jie. Also known as East gate. Here is, in the past, famous for its shopping area. Also where all the beautiful young girls will hang out during the early times. Now it is still as crowded though didn't really have a close look at what is there to buy. Well there is where I saw Mac sell Pork Chop burger. Though I didn't have a chance to try, I tried something else at the well known Aijsen Ramen. I ate the Soft Bone Ramen with Bamboo Shoot. We also ordered the Seaweed. Yum yum.
After that, which was dinner, my dad went back while I went to Hua Xiong Jie to buy some numbered and lettered Jenga. Also walked around Futian area to buy something back to HK. In the midst as I was walking a normal shopping place, I was even "spoke" of not giving some chinese girl a look....haha how different the culture is. Well bought my carton of Wang Lao Ji, a pack of dates and some Wang Wang Milk to drink. Went back hotel as it was quite late in the night, to watch TV and rest.
The next day, walked a bit of NBA, then I checked out to go to Guo Mao to buy some chocolate and ate another common place, Subway. Chocolate that I bought were belgian chocolate of 12 Zodiac, milk chocolate of 55% type. Then it is back to HK. And there goes the week.

Dongguan and HK
Today is the first day I am alone in HK. It is being a joyful and interesting experience for me since arrival.
Let's start from the first day. The first evening of just rushing to take SQ flight. A Non-budget flight since I travelled oversea. It was a completely different experience too. With on flight food and drinks. Comfort though I was not lucky enough to be upgraded to business class. Travelling alone is just such a different experience. There is element of uncertainity as to be going to a foreign land. Not only that, I am going to a place that I have last being for some years already. Say around 5-6 years. Well the nice thing is there is a reply to a SMS that I dun know why did I send. Well, there was a reply that came back. It was a nice SMS gift. Somehow, despite all, I still will think about her. How ironic and at times I feel it may not be appropiate. Well, guess it is just tied in into other things along the way, my guess. Well, guess a blur blur walk and a meal made some difference.
Things are quite simple in HK. Just eat, tour around. walk around with my dad. Eating dessert and still my dad thinks I am in deep love for Black Seasame Paste. Well, long has he not knew that I already not impressed with that dessert already. Well, there were quite a bit of nice food around. 2 nights in HK, met up with the Lab people and some of my dad's friend. Also heard from their life and how life is so different. How the decision of shifting work place. Their inputs really help me to see how life is so different when moving to another place to work.
Friday till Sunday will be a completely life experience from HK. I went to this place call Dong Guan. Before that went to Shenzhen. Went for a whole body message at this spa place. Quite cheap.....$400 Yuan for 2 person, Hot stone message plus free flow of drinks and food. Yum yum. It is just about SGD $80. Woah....it is much of a difference. It is a really great therapy...especially when I do have those aching shoulder muscle / ligaments. It was a great place to relax and rest too.
That is the first day in Shenzhen. First day in China. It has changed so much since the last time I was here. That was like 13 years ago. Now the town is full of tall buildings, big supermart, rapid development that makes it more expensive, in terms of land value, than Singapore. It truly is becoming a city. There are more and more spa being built. More and more executive luxurious condominium estate being built too. Interesting, more law enforcement is required in such a place. Also a place where Motorcycle is banned in Shenzhen. Something that is unique in other cities around some countries including China too. Safety and much many more are into consideration with motorcycle, or bicycle are common transportation that can be used.
Second day will be a day spent at Dongguan. Morning is a nice yum cha (typically HK), especially busy during a dumpling festival. Morning is still in HK, Sha tim while in the afternoon will be a tour in a plastic/rubber part manufacturing company. One of the director is my dad's friend. Some of interesting background but also a life of "yi qi" too. As I listened to his stories, I just start to be re-ignited about finding out what to do. Also pursuing what I really want to do. Also as I too wonder why it seems so easy for others to find their direction, while I struggle to find mine. While I struggle to pursue to the place I destined to go. What to do too. Anyway, it has being nice to listen to people life story. Things are so different when it is the top level and the normal level enjoyment. What comes before that is also the amount of stress and decision making encounters that can be countless and immeasurable. That is accompany with years of experiences and learning too. Perhaps that is the journey that I will need to learn to embark on. Now come the other side of life.
The other side of life. This comes as a completely realistics yet different experience of the other side of life. This is when one does not encounter such lifestyle in real life. Also the social circle that I am with hardly place me in that type of situation. I am in somewhere glad that I am not in situation of such tight situation. So what is the situation. There are sensitive yet open things like say walking past Red Lantern District, Booking a hotel room with a opposite gender, going to Underground Pub to .? . ....also going to those KTV to enjoy yourself. So what is the one of the key factor such a different lifestyle, perhaps the driving nature will be money. Also is the other side of life would be one that is like mostly low-storied buildings town. Also where there isn't a clear distinction of districts. There is also an interesting that there are fine lines of boundaries between towns too. One side of the river bridge can be upgraded and nice while the other side is still under-developed. As the difference also shows the power of economics, the economics of money too.
Hence the attraction / temptation of money with a growing importance of money. How it can create ways to earn them fast and drive people towards that too. How it seems so different when one whom work toward wanting to be boss without the knowledge of how it should be. Well that is something that I dun wish to elaborate too much on it. But truly the entertainment sector is one area that some group of people via certain means can earn lots of money, and then go back to their hometown to live on. This does highlights the following.
The growing gap of rich and poor together with the core entertainment as a high revenue means an easy way to make money. Simple but I will elaborate later when the opportunity arises.
The difference between sitting beside someone, and really in contact with someone. How it reinforce certain thinking. In the same time, though it may satisfy certain deep deep desire which are rooted in old issues. There are a couple of things that I learned and reinforce too. One of it is I have sensitive senses. Yup that is true and it was increased during a period of time that at this moment I can't remember when. So this is one loophole that I am glad it is not exploited yet. Well it will kept this way till there is going to be another situation that reckon a change in policy. Well those that I know, either they wouldn't exploit or they will not read this blog at all, directly or indirectly.
Second is there is really only fun and though it is fulfilling in certain ways, however in the mind, I know that is something more than that. Well, it just helps to focus things and also to fill up myself that I have being always double-minded about. Well, I hope there is a long term solution or paradigm shift. Well, I guess it may be bound to the first love I guess. It may be the very first and best. And all the journey is a preparation for me to be a real blessing to the S.O.
Thirdly, the wierd and questionable thing is I still think about this person. A meal, the first at the person's place; does it really make a difference? Or perhaps like some says, the more one invest, the more vested one is in. So perhaps that is one main factor. Though the other one is, the higher the grape, the harder the jump, the sweeter one thing the grape is. Anyway the experience in DG just solidify certain aspect that will attract me from the visual senses. Anyway, hopefully I can find some interesting things in HK to buy back...and also well now is the important cross-road for me too. To either find a work in Singapore or to work oversea. A people-orientated or a routine orientated. Well let things decide as I try to apply for the same job again. Allied Educator-Counselling. So I have to decide decisively too. Let just keep things at it is.
