In Proverbs it stats that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom, and this knowledge is what leads to understanding. Thomas Brooks takes this truth one step further to say that true knowledge of God leads to action. It is knowing God that allows us to be secure as His children, heirs to the throne of heaven.
For instance, take a Christian that has merely sucked in notions, and is only able for discourse, but has no internal experimental knowledge of God; you shall never find him doing glorious things for God and His saints. No! "The people who know God," - he speaks of the internal, experimental and spiritual knowledge of God - are enable to do glorious things.
Our confidence in our identity, rooted in Jesus and the blood that He shed for us, should give us confidence to do great things for God. Every work of our hand, as it is for the glory of God, be glorious. what could you do to experience God's glory in everyday life?
